For the first time in US history close to 100 women are headed to the House. As of Thursday morning, 96 were elected. Sure, there are 435 seats in the House, but 96 feels like the start of something much, much bigger. While Maine and South Dakota have elected their first female Governors, there’s still a ways to go to flip the gender imbalance in the Senate.
