Susan Warby keeps a few globes spinning. As the executive assistant (EA) managing the complex schedules of both FW’s Founder and Managing Director Helen McCabe and Deputy Managing Director Jamila Rizvi, she orchestrates a logistical ballet that would overwhelm the best of us. Yet she thrives on it. “I love logistics, planning and paying attention to detail – essential basis for an EA role – and I like to do that in my own world too,” she told FW.

The path to becoming the trusted person behind these carefully calibrated calendars wasn’t linear. She’s been a CEO, a marketing consultant, a stay-at-home mum, run a legal practice, completed a Masters in urban planning and taken on all-rounder administrator roles. It’s the kind of resume that might trigger the dreaded “Jill of all trades, master of none” feeling that can play on the mind of those with similarly diverse backgrounds.
