It is an exercise most like to avoid, but come job interview time, it is critical. Research shows that women often receive less recognition than men for the same accomplishments. While there are many (frustrating) reasons for this that are beyond our control, like bias and discrimination, it helps to focus on what we can control: the language we use to promote ourselves.
